What’s New in Media Composer 2024.6

The 2024.6 release of Avid Media Composer uses the AI power of Avid Ada to add a new Transcript Tool to PhraseFind. See a full transcript of the clip loaded into the source monitor and when you select a word in the transcript, you are instantly taken to that word in the clip. Speaker ID and edit from the transcript functions are enhanced as well.

We have completed the roundtrip between Media Composer and Pro Tools for total interoperability with the picture and sound teams. And the addition of subframe automation in Media Composer really lets you fine tune audio edits.

And Avid Huddle brings real-time remote collaboration to your team as you send the output of Media Composer, using SRT(Secure Reliable Transport), to anyone, anywhere with Microsoft Teams. Anyone can add comments and annotations in during the Avid Huddle session and even draw on video frames that are captured and saved as a session summary. And more…
